Brief Introduction
Polyoxymethylene is a polymer of formaldehyde (high molecular weight polyoxymethylene) with a general structural length of 8 to 100 units. Long chain polyoxymethylene is commonly used in heat-resistant plastics, also known as polyoxymethylene plastics. Paraformaldehyde decomposes rapidly and releases slightly odorous formaldehyde. Paraformaldehyde can be used for fumigation, sterilization, and preparation of pure formaldehyde (formalin). Low temperature storage of formaldehyde solution will slowly generate paraformaldehyde, white insoluble precipitate out.

Brief Introduction
